Alberwick Quantitative is a student-run paper hedge fund. We manage simulated portfolios with no real money at stake, which lets us take genuine positions, test ideas, and learn how markets behave without the cost of being wrong.
What began as a small group of curious students has grown into a disciplined team focused on research, risk, and honest self-assessment. We believe the best way to understand investing is to actually do it, defend a thesis, size a position, and live with the outcome.
Our work centers on the full investment process. Members research and pitch trade ideas, build and manage paper portfolios, and review performance together as a team. Every idea starts with a thesis, gets sized as a real position, and is judged on how it plays out.
We put equal weight on managing risk and on being honest about what worked and what didn't. Across the group we explore equities, macro trades, and systematic strategies, and our approach grows more sophisticated as the team does.
